Staphany is a graphic designer and visual artist from the US-Mexico border. Born in Texas and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico. She earned her degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2015. Her artistic practice reflects the cultural diversity and influences of the vibrant border region. As a designer she focuses on assisting brands in telling their unique stories through thoughtful and effective design. Her design experience encompasses logo design, brand identity, illustration, packaging, poster design and animation. Her passion and dedication ensure each project is approached with creativity and care.
She began her artistic journey in her youth, it was during her college years that she started to explore oil painting and mix-media in her work. Her paintings often highlight spaces in a state of transformation or decay, portraying urban environments of her hometown, influenced and inspired by her culture and the resilience of daily life in the border. Her work has been exhibited both individually and in group exhibitions across Mexico, Austria, Spain and United States. She has received several awards for her paintings and some of her works are now included in private collections. One of her latest paintings is currently featured in the collective exhibition ‘The MEAM Hall’ at the Museo Europeo de Arte Moderno in Barcelona, Spain, where it will remain on display until January 2025.
Staphany currently lives in Austin, Texas, where she works, practices ballet and enjoys time with her family.
